LAGU-LAGU NASYID & YANG SEUMPAMANYA Lagu atas ni, seorang bekas pelajar sebuah sekolah agama di Kuala Kangsar di zaman penjajah British pernah ajar aku nyanyi beberapa rangkap. Namanya, Abdul Ghani, seorang yang turut mahir bertutur Bahasa Jepun selain Arab kerana beliau pernah bertugas sebagai kerani agih beras semasa Jepun memerintah Tanah Melayu. Beliau, yang aku panggil Paklang Don turut boleh main gambus, beliau sebut od, dan sering dipanggil Sultan Perak untuk bermain solo pada malam hari di istana. Suara Paklang Don sedap, garuk bila baca doa di masjid atau di majlis kenduri di sekitar kampung aku. Beliau sekali-sekala akan menjelaskan maksud beberapa ayat al-Quran kepada aku bila aku terserempak beliau di masjid kampung. Antara kelebihan arwah Paklang Don ialah beliau mahir mengukir khat Arab pada kepingan logam dengan menggunakan teknik tekan timbul serta membaiki radio. Al-Fatihah.
